So, what does Sex Week look like on a practical level? The events are interdisciplinary. Although some focus specifically on sexual health, Sex Week seeks to examine sexuality from a variety of lenses. For example, this year we had an event on safer sex as it relates to LGBTQ people, and we also hosted a lecture by Dr. Andrew Francis-Tan on the intersection of sexuality and economics. We strive to meet students where they are. Much of this effort comes from partnering with other student organizations, such as Emory Panhellenic Council, Feminists in Action, and Emory Pride. Students from any background deserve access to interesting, accessible information about sexual health.
