The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) created ClinicalTrials.gov in 2000 in response to the 1997 Food and Drug Administration Modernization Act, which required a registry of federal and privately funded trials. Studies listed here are conducted in 191 countries and throughout the United States. It provides comprehensive information about ongoing clinical studies on a range of conditions for volunteers, health professionals, researchers, and the public. Anyone can visit and find studies to volunteer for or learn how to submit their own study.
